BMW Master Trailing Arm Bushing Tool Set - E36 / E46

Description:  This tool set allows for on-car installation AND removal of the three rear bushings located on the semi-trailing arm of E36 and E46 BMW 3-series cars:

  • Upper control arm bushing
  • Lower control arm bushing
  • Trailing arm bushing


The tool set includes fixtures to service both the new-style and old-style trailing arm bushings.  The old-style is a conventional bushing with a one-piece outer shell.  The new-style bushings have a two-piece outer shell and are being supplied by BMW and aftermarket channels as universal replacements.


This kit is the first to feature ball bearing thrust plates on all operations … this reduces the amount of force required and prolongs tool life.


The ability to service these bushings on-the-car saves hours of labor and avoids significant disassembly of suspension and driveline components.


Packaged in molded plastic carrying / storage case. Operating instructions included.

the quality of this tool is great. did the job with hand tools in about a hour for both sides. (e36 rtab). one problem you may run into is that the area where u mount the tool to pull out the bushing on trailing arm may need to be grinded down due to casting differences when it was made. I had to do this on 1 arm on my vehicle. as long as the tool is completely flat and trailing arm is free of rust and corrosion it will work perfectly. I recommend cleaning arm and test fitting before using tool. This tool is worth the money.
